How did you both meet?
Jack and I met in January 2020. I was moving overseas and in a case of serendipity we met, and the rest they say is history.
Tell us ALL about the proposal
Jack proposed on the 26th of March, 2023. It was a grey and cloudy day and we took our two year old golden retriever for a run at our favourite beach. The beach was magical, Gus was having the best time digging and doing zoomies and we were walking and chatting. Jack spotted dolphins playing in the waves and when I turned around he was down on one knee. It was peaceful and perfect, very much, us.
What do you love most about each other?
We’re very much yin and yang but we are a great team. Sometimes we finish one and others sentences. Everything is better when we are together. .
What were some important elements that you wanted for your
Wedding day?
We wanted our wedding to be a big party. Centred around food and drinks and a good time. We wanted our guests to have full tummies, full hearts and a drink in their hand. Our style was an Italian inspired summer soirée with loads of colour.
Why did you choose Farm Vigano as your Wedding venue?
When we arrived at Farm Vigano, we walked down the steps and we felt like we’d been transported to Italy. The cobbled pavement, the yellow and white awnings and the European bistro chairs – it was utterly perfect. The gardens are stunning, from the orange orchard to the olive groves. Everything about Farm Vigano was perfect.
How did you find inspiration for the colours/theme of you Wedding?
To be honest, it was all a vision in my head. It was important that it was colourful and fun. With the help of Elena from LNR Events, we created the most colourful wedding of our dreams.
What elements did you include in your styling for the ceremony and the reception?
We let the venue speak for its self. Farm Vigano is so beautiful on its own. Our flowers were beautifully bold and bright. The vases were painted in all different colours and everything just went together to create a colourful wonderland.
Tell us about your most memorable/favourite moment of the day
Our favourite moment was greeting each other after I walked down the aisle. It was so exciting and emotional.
We’d love to know if anything funny or cute happened
My bridesmaids created a hilarious song for their speech. The changed the words to Jolene by Dolly Parton to be about Jack and I. It was as absolutely hilarious and a huge highlight.
A word of advice for future wedding couples?
Enjoy every little minute and don’t sweat the small stuff. Things will go wrong, but no one knows and don’t let it ruin the day. It really is so special and you only get one chance to enjoy it in the moment. Spend time with those you want to and make time to eat. I have a fond memory of perching on a bar stool outside and eating some pizza with my girlfriends, it was delicious and a beautiful moment.
